Once the car is parked, we walk through this immense park and first visit the Rose Garden, where you can see a wide variety of roses of all types, shapes and sizes, all very well maintained.

We also walked for a while Botanical Garden and the Arboretum, and we agreed (this time paying ...) to Japanese Tea Garden. Built to be part of the San Francisco Universal Exhibition from 1894, this Japanese garden is the oldest public garden in the United States.

Packed with ponds, with their bridges, it could not miss by name a typical japanese tea house, where we drink, of course, tea with pastries. It really is very, very careful, with miniature gardens and corners that offer calm to the visitor.

After finishing our walk through the Golden gate park, we go to the famous Chinatown Chinatown, where, by the way, it was not easy for us to park the car.

HeChinatown from San Francisco It is the oldest Chinatown in North America and welcomes the largest Chinese community outside of Asia. In addition to being a starting point and home to thousands of Chinese immigrants, it is currently a tourist attraction important for its shops and restaurants, which attract more tourists every year to the neighborhood than to the own one Golden Gate suspension bridge.

In Portsmouth Square You can see people practicing Tai Chi and the elderly playing Chinese chess. A replica of the Statue of Democracy used in the protests of Tiananmen Square was built in 1999 by Thomas Marsh and is located in this square.

We had a good time in this neighborhood, entering stores, buying ginseng in its different forms. Everything, everything, is in Chinese and it shows that they live in their world. Of course, we ate in a Chinese establishment, with also Chinese beer.

When we leave Chinatown, we decided we headed to the Berkeley University, that is crossing the Bay Bridge.

TheUniversity of California, Berkeley It is a public university located in Berkeley, near San Francisco, and is the oldest of the University of California campuses. It is recognized as the number one public university in the United States and in the world.

We even entered some faculty to see how it was inside. All clean, very careful, a lot of bicycle to move around the campus and a lot, a lot of oriental student.
